Paper Lantern Lit disclaims the right to copy, reproduce, profit from, or use an author's original materials (the author's "spin" on our characters, concepts, sparks, and story-lines) in any way other than in a manner acceptable to the author. Any unsold proposals or unused sample chapters will be returned to the author for archival or destruction.

Notice of Payment:

Paper Lantern Lit contracts its authors on a work-for-hire basis. Paper Lantern Lit authors are paid a one-time fee with no expectation of commission, additional fees, and/or royalties upon point-of-sale of a book project to a publishing house.

Notice of Credit:

Credit and accreditation belongs solely to the author. In some cases, we may choose to create a pseudonym for you; for marketing and promotional purposes you will be affiliated with the pseudonym. Please note that copyright remains with Paper Lantern Lit for all published works and works-in-development.
